The other component is a diuretic that increases the output of urine, removing excess fluid from the body and thus lowering blood pressure.
Generic Cozaar is used for treating high blood pressure. It is also used to reduce the risk of stroke in certain patients with high blood pressure and for treating kidney disease in certain patients with type 2 diabetes.
Microzide – This drug acts as a diuretic and controls the amount of water in the body by reducing it, and thus the salts, and increasing the urine flow. This aids in the treatment of high-blood pressure.
